Lauren grew up in the dance world witnessing her grandfather Gus Giordano create a legacy. Growing up Lauren trained in all styles of dance which sparked her love of learning and quest to become a well rounded dancer. She has experienced every aspect of the dance world from taking class with her grandfather, Gus, to working behind the scenes with her mother, Amy. Lauren graduated with a BFA in dance and a business minor from the University of Arizona. She now runs the Company program as the GUS Company Director and is also a full-time teacher at the School, specializing in Giordano Jazz. She performs throughout Chicago and loves to perform her grandfather’s pieces including, Sing Sing Sing, Trolley to Chicago & Gang Hep. She has worked closely with Pattie Obey, Jimmy Locust, Susan Quinn, Marcus Alford & Elijah Gibson. After college she found a new love for yoga. Lauren is certified in teaching Power Yoga and Yoga Sculpt and teaches at Corepower Yoga. She enjoys teaching Giordano Jazz for Dance Masters of WI and she has discovered that she is as passionate as her grandfather, Gus, about teaching jazz throughout the world. Lauren teaches Master Classes at numerous universities, studios & conventions in the Midwest & Southeast to spread her grandfather’s technique and love for jazz. Her passion of teaching dance and yoga is the perfect combination to inspire students of all ages. Lauren knows from her grandfather and mother that the best lesson she can teach her students is to work hard and try their best.
